3 New Stage Shows in Development!

For Kidoons creative directors Rick Miller and Craig Francis, much of the past decade has been devoted to developing and touring the BOOM Trilogy and the Connection Trilogy. But we're now in process on 3 new projects that will push our practice, and expand the Kidoons creative team.

BLOCKED: a new musical from New York by Ben Wexler, commissioned by TheaterWorks USA. Craig and I were hired to come up with a design and staging concept for a show about 4 families and their connections to a social media app. We just held a 2-week workshop in Toronto, and the feedback was tremendous!

ANDERSEN FAIRY TALES: a new multi-disciplinary, multimedia stage work, centered on Hans Christian Andersen and his beloved Fairy Tales. Development will begin in 2022, as we shift away from language to explore other forms of storytelling, and focus on themes of individual uniqueness and transformation.

MONEY: a new collective creation mixing avant-garde theatre, original music, multimedia performance art, and emerging technology. With our growing team of collaborators, we hope to explore what money is, where it comes from, what it does to us and what we do for it. Research and development to begin in 2022.
